Our Finances
The Boathouse Church is self-funded by the giving of our church family. We're therefore incredibly thankful to all those who joyfully and sacrificially support our ministry financially - something which we encourage all members of the church family to get involved in, whatever their means, recognising Jesus said it's more blessed to give than receive (Acts 20:35) and honoured the widow's mite more than the wealthy's large donations (Mark 12:41-44).
Want to think more about giving?
If you're starting your giving journey and would like to think more about it, a good place to start would be our mini-series on giving from 2 Corinthians 8 and 9, which can be found here.
Want to start giving?
Thank you! Here are the different ways you could get involved:
Standing Order Giving
From the point of view of our financial planning, the most helpful way of supporting our ministry is to set up a regular standing order to the following account:
-
Account name: The Co-Mission Churches Trust
-
Sort code: 40-52-40
-
Account number: 00097053
NB: The Co-Mission Churches Trust is the charity the Boathouse Church is part of, along with a number of other Co-Mission churches, and so its name is on our bank account. However, this particular account is solely for the Boathouse Church and so the whole of your donation (and any associated Gift Aid) will go directly to the Boathouse Church. If you would like more information on our governance, please see here.
Payroll Giving (Give As You Earn)
It may be more tax efficient for you to give through a payroll giving scheme; if you would like to do this, please speak to your employer about setting this up. There is more information on the HMRC website.
One-Off Giving
If you would rather make a one-off gift, you can do so using the bank details above or you can make a secure online gift by credit or debit card via the Co-Mission website.
Gift Aid
If you are a UK tax-payer and give via standing order or make a one-off gift, please Gift Aid your donations by submitting a Gift Aid declaration - this boosts our income by adding an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.
Alternatively, if you know we are unable to claim Gift Aid on your donations, please fill out this form.
